About Us

Mike Magers, founder/owner of First Choice Inspection Services, loves being around homes, and his inspection business grew out of that love. He's been tackling remodeling projects and handling home maintenance for roughly twenty years as a hobby. Now, as a graduate of the Midwest Inspectors Institute and a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors, Mike has been inspecting homes since 2001 with the company he founded, First Choice Inspection Services. We’re proud to be a member of the Battle Creek community: "We are raising our family here and love the people here. When we are inspecting your home, you can expect us to be patient and take our time -- and to get an education yourself. First Choice Inspection Services loves educating clients about their house. "We prefer to have them join us during or at the end of the inspection so they can ask questions and we can show them the problem areas and provide explanations and solutions."

 

You're welcome to call with questions after the inspection. You will receive, within twenty-four hours, a comprehensive computer generated report with digital photos detailing the inspection results. Any problem areas will be highlighted in the report, which will be emailed to you and available through the Web site. (A bound copy may be delivered upon request.)

 

We are available to inspect residential and light commercial properties in Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Marshall, and surrounding communities. Radon, Mold and Lead inspection services are available for additional fees.
